Pollution Prevention

Our pollution prevention approach seeks to increase the efficiency of a process, thereby reducing the amount of pollution generated. We assist our clients in assessing and implementing strategies that will ensure pollution reduction from the source. We are experts in the Pollution Prevention Act (PPA) of 1990 which encourages pollution prevention in the United States.

Projects

TEAM worked closely with the Environmental Flight Chief and Base Environmental Flight teams of Andrews Air Force Base (AFB) to provide Program Management for the base Pollution Prevention and Hazardous Material Management Programs and to improve recycling, affirmative procurement, and environmental compliance throughout the base. Staff members acted as trusted extensions to the Environmental Flight as a contractor through the Air Force Center for Engineering and the Environment and provided environmental Program Management support on-site at Andrews AFB. We increased community awareness through periodic news articles and community discussions on environmental topics, and hosted several basewide, celebratory events for Earth Day and America Recycles Day.
