With everything that we as employees of TEAM have been blessed with, we feel it is important to give back to those who have fallen on harder times. There are over 23,000 homeless people in San Antonio and not enough shelters to provide them with food everyday. In conjunction with Mobile Loaves and Fishes, TEAM employees participate in a monthly noontime delivery of food to the downtown areas of San Antonio. The goal of this program is to provide a healthy meal a day to the homeless and the hungry working poor in our area.
We are very proud to be a Texas firm and have lot of Texas Pride. Texas is not just a place to live but an extension of ourselves. In that spirit, TEAM has adopted a highway in front of Randolph Air Force Base in order to help maintain the beauty and integrity of our highways. Don’t Mess with Texas is not just a saying, it is a state of mind.
Our mission is to provide the best services to our communities to help ensure a brighter future for everyone. The brightest futures should be those of the children to whom we will leave our legacy. During the holiday season TEAM collects toys, baby items, and monetary donations for the Children’s Shelter to help brighten the season for the children of the in need.
As a woman owned small business, TEAM is extensively involved in raising awareness for women’s health issues. The Susan B. Komen Race for the Cure raises money in an annual race/walk for breast cancer research, awareness, and screening. TEAM annually supports this organization by registering a team to walk/run for this great cause. To date, we average a team of 30 participates with additional donations from TEAM employees who are unable to participate.
TEAM has the deepest admiration for the men and women of our armed forces who are serving in areas of conflict. With members of our own TEAM family in these areas we understand how important it is for morale that soldiers have ways to contact their family and friends back home. TEAM employees donate refurbished mobile phones to be sent to our soldiers.
Being a victim of family violence is one of the most significant issues facing women in our society. Many victims work very hard to escape and start a new life and TEAM is trying to help. We collected phones for women in violent homes that will serve as a life line to emergency help that they are often denied by circumstance. These phones are programmed to call emergency response with no fees associated with them. TEAM also collected gently worn business suits for these women so they have the opportunity to interview for jobs, helping them start their new lives.
In the past decade there has been a steep decline in the number of engineers graduating from universities across the county. In an effort to combat this growing trend TEAM annually sponsors the Society of American Military Engineers Golf Tournament which provides scholarships for up and coming engineers and architects.
Our motto is to always do the right thing- right. This motto encourages fair dealing with our clients and employees. This motto also extends to our community. We provide our services to nonprofit and area groups to help make our community safer and to give back by doing what we do best.
